The ballroom holds up to 40 pipe-and-drape booths or 72 tabletop exhibits. Babcock and Hart Albin each divide into two rooms of 600 to 650 sq ft.

A historic hotel. The Northern dates to 1902, was rebuilt in 1942, and was fully remodeled, updated, and upgraded in 2012. It’s on the National Register of Historic Places.

Can the Northern host a meeting for 300 people?
Yes. The Grand Ballroom seats 300 at banquet tables with room to spare, and either half of the ballroom seats 300 theater style. Attendees can stay in the hotel’s 160 rooms and suites, and groups that book 8 or more rooms a night get a discount.
Do I need a final headcount to get a quote?
No. Send a range and we’ll price the low and high end.
Can you hold a block of guest rooms?
Yes. Groups that book 8 or more rooms a night get a discount off our best available rate.
Is there parking for attendees?
Yes. Valet parking and self-parking in the Empire Garage are free for event attendees and overnight guests. The garage connects to the hotel’s second floor by a skywalk.
Do you charge sales tax?
Montana has no general sales tax, so there’s none on catering or meeting space. Guest rooms are subject to Montana’s lodging taxes.
What equipment comes with the rooms?
The ballroom has projection, theatrical lighting, and full-range sound. The boardrooms have video conferencing, and wifi is free throughout the hotel. Your quote lists what comes with your event.
How far is the airport?
Billings Logan International Airport is about two miles from the hotel, with nonstop flights from Denver, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, Seattle, and Dallas.
